چکیده
Surgical site infection (SSI) results in substantial morbidity and costs. Various guidelines are there to reduce the incidence of SSI. Recently application negative pressure a surgically closed wound has also emerged as way preventing this complication. The commercially available devises for usually too costly preclude its uses developing countries. In article we share our experience using NPWT cost effective manner case skin graft donor site.

Management of large tissue defects resulting from local wide resection of perianal is a clinical challenge for surgeons. The aim of the present study was to investigate the efficacy of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) following skin grafting on perianal surgical wound healing.Included in this study were 12 patients with perianal tumors who received skin grafting after perianal tumor resec...
متن کاملA Complication of Management of Closed Incision with Negative-Pressure Wound Therapy.
Negative-pressure wound therapy is routinely utilized in plastic surgery for the treatment of open wounds. However, a newer system, known as closed-incision management (CIM), may minimize the likelihood of open wounds. CIM is designed for use after primary surgical skin closure. Many studies of the effects of CIM in various surgical disciplines have been published. The main features of CIM are ...
متن کاملMechanically Powered Negative Pressure Wound Therapy as a Bolster for Skin Grafting
SUMMARY The use of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) as a bolster for split-thickness skin grafts has been well documented in the literature. It facilitates the removal of transudate, which can result in the formation of seroma, and mitigates shear stress, which can detach the graft from the underlying wound bed. Its widespread use may be limited by factors such as increased cost and lengt...
